Introduction
Maitrey ERA (MAITREY Environment Education & Research Association) was registered as a Society under the Societies Registration Act, 1960 on the 28th February, 2005 . The basic idea of Maitrey was brainchild of Late Shri Gauri Shankar He realized that there were not many genuine social organizations working in the rural UP for social up gradation of the region. It is then he brought together few eminent personalities from various spheres of society and encouraged them to start an organization to work for the social development of rural. Later on it was registered in the name of Maitrey Era. To start with Maitrey has chosen the constituency of Malihabad as its area of operation. Maitrey aims to develop Malihabad as a model constituency and formulate a process of development. Later we intend to reach out to other unprivileged constituencies of UP and implement the same format there.
